General Horseback Information

Horseback Riders

We keep our stable small and exclusive so that we can take special care of our horses and our riders. We make every effort to help you get the best out of your ride: enjoy a movie-like setting, have Kodak moments and trust your horse so you can ride him your best way!

Please be sure to download the Participation Agreement/Waiver of Liability (WOL) that is available on the site, and read our Pre-Ride Checklist.

If You Are Bringing Your Own Horse:

  • Proof of negative coggins is required.
  • We recommend that your horses immunizations are up to date.
  • Stallions allowed with prior approval only and rider must be over age 18.
  • Your horse will have a good workout - pack him a snack also.

For Riders Using Ranch Horses:

  • Slick soled boots / shoes with a 1" heel are highly recommended.
  • Bring sunscreen, bug spray, ice chest with drinks/snacks.
  • Bring sunglasses, if needed.
  • Check the weather before you come and bring a rain slicker or jacket if needed.
  • Bring a camera!
  • If you have allergies, asthma or medical problems, have your medication readily available on the trail.
  • Minimum age of rider: 7 years.
  • Each rider is required to read and sign a Participation Agreement.
  • No backpacks, fanny packs, loose clothing, etc are allowed while riding horse.
    i.e. anything that could get caught or come loose.
  • Cantle bags will be provided.
  • Cell phones must be turned off.

For Riders under Age 18:

Safety Helmets:

Know That:

  • This is the outdoors!
  • There will be unexpected movements or noise that may startle your horse.
  • There are rattlesnakes in this area.
  • Toilet and Shower facilities are very limited, but they are ADA accessible.

Not Allowed:

  • Dogs on the trail - unless prior arrangements are made.
  • Kicking, whipping, beating your horse or anyone else!!!
  • Fire - without prior approval due to dry weather conditions.
  • Littering.
  • Alcoholic beverages.
  • Drugs, Guns, Knives or weapons of any kind.

PLEASE:

  • Leave gates as found.
  • Clean up manure at trail head/parking areas.
  • Scatter manure at stopping spots.
  • Pick up left over hay and your trash.
